Organize a Day of Service
Celebrate the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday with a day of service. Answer Dr. King’s call to build The Beloved Community by volunteering for a community organization or participating in a local service project.

- Dr. King Volunteer Fair: Attend the fair and connect with a participating organization
- Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York
- The RED Bookshelf, Albany
- Project Flight, Buffalo
- Brooklyn Public Library: Host a reading event with local schools at a BPL branch
- I Love My Parks events (held in May of each year)
- Host a FAFSA completion event on the MLK Day of Service on Monday, January 15. Learn more about how to plan for and lead these events in this webinar. If you are not ready to host an event, head a training for volunteers to host a completion event at a future date.
