First Women’s Rights Convention: The Seneca Falls Convention

Seneca Falls

Organized by Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Lucretia Mott, and others, the Seneca Falls Convention formally launched the women’s rights movement in the U.S. on July 19 and 20, 1848 at the Wesleyan Chapel in Seneca Falls.
