First Friday Evening Tour Information
As part of Metroland's First Friday events (the first Friday of each month), join us for a free tour of the New York State Capitol.
- Where: Information Desk, Capitol's State Street Lobby
- When: The first Friday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
- Duration: 50-60 minutes
- Reservations: Not required for individuals or parties of fewer than 10.
For groups of 10 or more, visit our Group Tour page for information on reserving a tour. Please note: If a group of 10 or more shows up during walk-in tour times, we may not be able to accommodate them due to the group's size.

Security
Visitors to the Capitol are required to pass through metal detectors and have bags scanned through an X-ray machine. Personal belongings such as backpacks and large bags should be left behind. Sharp objects, such as pocketknives, nail clippers, weapons, and nuisance devices, such as whistles and noisemakers, are not allowed into the building.
