David von Schlegell

David von Schlegell’s West End was one of the first works of art to be selected by the art commission for the Empire State Plaza Art Collection. The sculpture consists of two asymmetrical sections of aluminum projecting outward from a triangular base. West End was made during von Schlegell’s career when he produced enigmatic sculptures that portray a sense of imbalance.
